Welcome videos offer insight into CAMHS

We delighted to now have a full set of welcome videos as part of myHealthe for anyone wishing to understand more about the CAMHS journey and the resources available in our virtual waiting room.

In the five-minute videos, our friendly colleagues in CAMHS across all boroughs explain what the service offers and what to expect from the first assessment.

Funded by the Maudsley Charity, the films have been developed to help parents and young people familiarise themselves with CAMHS at the start of the journey and feel more in control of the process.

“A big thank you to all our CAMHS colleagues involved in the filming. We had great fun creating these and learnt a lot about the amazing work our CAMHS colleagues do every day!” South London Listens, Project Manager.

MyHealthe is an online platform for parents of children under 15 years where they can:  Get support navigating the journey through CAMHS  Complete questionnaires prior to assessment,  find referral letters and duty desk contact numbers.

MyHealthe began as a way of improving how information around a child’s health is gathered.   It was created by CAMHS Digital Lab in partnership with King’s College London.  Its success led to the team to work with South London Listens to provide a virtual waiting room which was launched in 2023.
