Reaching an important milestone for CAMHS Virtual Waiting Room

On 11 May, we held a community-led celebration at St Jonh’s Angell Town, marking an important milestone for the CAMHS Virtual Waiting Room community ask.

This forms part of our priority area for children and young people. Parents, teachers, and young people, who begun the journey from early stages of listening, had the opportunity to see how the NHS has turned their listening in action. Achieved through the brilliant work of CAMHS Digital Lab’s Myhealthe team.

During the evening, we heard, movingly, from a young person, as well as from parents and a passionate teacher. The Myhealthe team shared the work of CAMHS Digital Lab, and about how the platform has been developed. There was a preview of the Lambeth CAMHS welcome video recently made.

Together with key representatives from NHS and Local Authority who've been involved, namely, Martin Wilkinson (SRO for Children and Young People - SEL Integrated Care Board) Sabrina Phillips (Director of Lambeth Living Well Network Alliance) and Cllr Ben Kind (Cabinet member for Children and Young People in Lambeth) we shared reflections about why this work is so important. We celebrated where we’ve got to and pushed ourselves to go even further.
